We use Merchant Ag (MA) and Field Alytics (FA). Currently we create splits in MA and they flow over to Field Alytics. Our salesmen, who are entering the work orders in FA, have to remember or sit with a spreadsheet to select the correct split for the field that they are creating a work order for because field alytics shows them every single split. Our salesmen cannot remember hundreds of splits. Merchant should be able to get a complete farm/field list from FA (since they're integrated) and then we could apply a split to specific farms/fields that would flow over to FA and then the only option for the salesmen is the specific split for that specific field. This would be a one time set up, and then from here on out the split on the fields are always correct. This would greatly minimize human error and generate happier customers because their bills are always correct. If Merchant and Field Alytics are truly integrated, I don't see why this would be an issue. I have talked to several Merchant and Field Alytics team members and they all say 'just not an option'. This is something that would benefit every single user, because even if they don't split by farm/field the global/item option is still there.

What problem does this Idea solve?
This solves the issue of a salesmen having to 1. remember hundreds of splits for several growers or 2. salesmen selecting the incorrect split or not selecting anything. This would make invoicing more accurate and customers have greater confidence in us. |
