What problem does this Idea solve?

Fert Batches are reverting the original Blend ID setup when not blended but saved; products added to a batch will be removed by the software should they save and close the batch. This design creates a distrust of the system by users as such they would prefer that once a batch is saved it not revert to the blend setup used and instead would remain as they saved it.

Another option is to use the method "Request Quantity" instead of entering the method "Request Analysis". The design was created in a way that treats the method as a default. The concept is to allow a user to manipulate the formula but not commit the change(s) until its blended. This prevents an unwanted modification to the formulation until you are ready to blend the acutal formulation.

This has been our #1 concern with the system. We use the blend function to notify our AR that an order is ready for settlement and they can double check all values. If our salesmen mark an order blended to lock in ingredients, we will loose our method of marking orders as complete. We wish there was a button that locked the order when you hit confirm or something similar to lock everything including price. We have had to pivot hard on our formulation methods because of this specific ISSUE. It is an issue.

Merchant is working as designed. As a workaround, when you have modified the ingredients of a blend you will need to move forward with blending, or you could add potential ingredients to the blend ID and then remove the ingredients that are not applicable for the batch at the time of the batch entry.
