Currently, the Clearance Checkbox is located at the global level of Detail Items in Merchant PM. This is a poor location for this checkbox due to it affecting whether an item may be returned or not. Some Cooperatives have multiple locations and just because one location is not selling an item and wants to clearance it does not mean that all locations want the item clearanced. By moving this checkbox to the site level it would allow a site to clearance the item for their location only not affecting any other location.

What problem does this Idea solve?
It will prevent an item from being flagged clearance at all locations. It would also stop preventing the item from being returned at locations that are not clearancing the item. This will save time and improve the overall customer experience. If an item is currently on clearance at Sweetwater and a customer comes into Athens and purchases 3 of these items and then needs to return 1 at Athens the system will not allow it without someone going into the file and unchecking the Clearance box. This creates frustration in the customer and the staff. And is unnecessary. |
